is a specification for a business & service registry.
It was developed by OASIS as part of
the ebXML group of specifications. ebRS
is designed to hold Collaborative Protocol Profiles
and Agreements. This enables businesses to query the registry
to find appropriate trading partners.

EbRS has significant
overlap with UDDI. At the moment, ebRS
is the preferred registry for ebXML users, while UDDI is the preferred
registry for web services as specified
by WS-I.
